Don’t miss the TorrentFreak article on my PhD thesis Metaphors and Norms – Understanding copyright law in a digital society (download thesis here [pdf]). TorrentFreak writes:

When talking about piracy the entertainment industry and politicians often use the term “theft.” This is a huge problem according to the Swedish sociologist of law Stefan Larsson. In his thesis “Metaphors and Norms – Understanding Copyright Law in a Digital Society,” he explains that these metaphors are in part keeping the wide gap between people’s norms and the law intact.

Congratulations! …Have to say, the article made me very curious about your thesis, as I feel that there isn’t very much well developed research regarding a subject that I think represents the thoughts of more society members than what is being represented through the media or through politics.

But, I haven’t read your thesis yet, so I should probably do that before making any further comments. :)
